My Man Can Cook was founded by Omenaa Boakye, a self confessed foodie, an enthusiastic baker and an experimental cook. "March 2020 was a very strange month," says Omenaa. "Along with the rest of the world, I suddenly found myself quarantined due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I was pretty much under house arrest. No stores were open, I was working from home and speaking with friends and family via Zoom and Facetime." Omenaa says it is during this time that she started cooking more frequently. "I always enjoyed cooking and baking but I never found enough time to experiment, now, I had all the time in the world. I took to posting my creations on Instagram and found that like me, many of my friends were posting what they were making. However, to my surprise, it was mostly my male friends that were posting what they had made." Omenaa was amazed by all the male chefs that had been hiding away. "I decided to start My Man Can Cook as a way for these men to showcase their cooking talent; their creations are too good not to be seen." My Man Can cook is a place where men can share recipes, cooking tips, suggestions or simply look for inspiration. "If you know a man who likes to cook, we'd like to hear from him!"
